Tanning Beds

The main advantage of tanning indoors is to develop a tan in a controlled environment while minimizing the risk of overexposure. We believe in SMART UV Tanning to take advantage of the benefits of indoor tanning beds and Vitamin D production.

Tropic Tan offers UV tanning beds. Each type offers unique benefits to suit your needs. For the tan of your life, our customer's favorite, we feature the 12 minute Orbit Very High Output Tanning Systems (11,000 watts of power!)- the best Uva/Uvb Tanning Machine available as far as we're concerned!. Earth's best and gentle on skin with immediate results, you can tan up to 12 minutes.

How To Prepare for Your Airbrush Tan -

On the day of your Airbrush Tan, shower and exfoliate skin well .
DO NOT shower with body washes or soaps that contain moisturizers prior to your Airbrush application.
DO NOT apply moisturizers, make-up, perfume, lotions or deodorants. Shave at least 8 hours, wax at least 24 hours before.
Remove contact lenses and jewelry.
Always wear hair up. Disposable cap will be provided.
Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toed sandals are best.

TANLINES:
Women can wear a dark bikini or any undergarment if you desire tan lines. Of course, you may undress completely if you prefer no tan lines at all.
Men are required to wear swim trunks or dark colored undergarments.

Time: Please allow 10-15 minutes to spray and about 10 minutes to dry.

After Your Tan -

AVOID any strenuous exercise or perspiration activity after your Spray Tan session. Perspiring excessively reduces product absorption.
AVOID chlorinated pools, spas, saunas and excessive heat, as this will dramatically accelerate the fading process.
AVOID long hot showers/baths and rubbing or scratching of the skin afterwards. When drying your body, pat the skin lightly to dry.
AVOID any contact with rain or any other form of water until after your initial shower.
DO wait at least 8 to 10 hours before bathing or showering. The longer the better.
DO wear cotton night clothing and use cotton sheets if you will plan to sleep before your initial shower. All other materials such as satin will promote perspiration.
DO moisturize after your initial shower and with an alcohol-free moisturizer Apply moisturizer daily to extend the life of your tan. *For best results, we recommend using a Tan Extender available for purchase in the salon..
DO keep a towel handy around the house and in the car, since the bronzer (temporary coloring) may rub off.

*During your first shower after your Spray Tan application, expect about 25% - 30% of the cosmetic bronzer to wash off. This is normal; it is just excess Spray Tan bronzer color guide that has been applied.
